UV Glass Anti UV Measures

Glass material selection
UV resistant glass: This is a special type of glass coated with a special film on its surface that can effectively absorb and reflect ultraviolet rays. It can be used for car windshields, home windows, and outdoor shading facilities.
Hollow glass: Separated by two or more layers of glass with sealing strips, filled with dry air or inert gas in the middle. This structure can effectively prevent ultraviolet rays from passing through and improve insulation performance.
Tempered glass: High strength glass that has undergone special treatment and has high safety performance. It can block ultraviolet rays outside the glass and prevent sharp fragments from being produced when the glass breaks.

Film and coating
UV filter membrane: A layer of UV filter membrane is attached to UV glass such as display cabinets, which can effectively absorb or reflect UV light and reduce the exposure to exhibits. However, over time, the filter membrane may fail and need to be replaced regularly.
UV absorbing coating: Applying a layer of UV absorbing coating made of nanomaterials on the surface of ordinary glass can enhance the glass's ability to block UV rays. This coating can absorb and convert UV rays into other forms of energy.

External protective device
Install UV resistant curtains or blinds outside the display cabinet, or install window grilles or sunshades on the windows to reduce direct exposure to UV rays.

Lighting selection
Use UV resistant lighting, such as LED lighting, which typically emits less UV radiation, and UV resistant lampshades or coatings can be installed on the fixtures.

Monitoring and maintenance
Regularly use ultraviolet monitoring instruments to detect the UV level inside the display cabinet, ensure the effectiveness of protective measures, and regularly check the integrity of UV protection measures. These measures need to be adjusted according to the specific material and sensitivity of the exhibits to achieve the best protection effect.
